Ah, the Good Old Days!
Has anyone noticed how crappy channels like Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney have become? What happened to the good shows that used to be on?

Amen! Seriously, where is Rurouni Kenshin, .Hack//Sign, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam Wing, and all the other classics that they could be running?

Re: Ah, the Good Old Days!
Actually, I was referring to American cartoons, but I agree with that 100%!
I mean, what happened to shows such as Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Lab, Wild Thornberrys and Sheep in the Big City? Not to mention all of the classics like Huckleberry Hound and of course Looney Toons (although there was a Looney Toons marathon on today)
Now days everything is exaggerated and overacted. There are less and less cartoons and more and more child/teenage stars. And they'll probably end up pregnant or have a drug/alcohol addiction.

Re: Ah, the Good Old Days!
i was never a cow and chicken fan hahhaahahahahah
dexter lab was alright
wild thorn> dex
Sheep in the Big City- Never heard of it.....
as american cartoons go, the best would probably be the following (the ones i can think of right now) Avatar and teen titans (woot woot beast boy) ----- code name kids next door was decent, better then dex and thorn berrys.

Re: Ah, the Good Old Days!
Avatar and Teen Titans were pretty good. I loved Megas XLR as well, lol. Personally, Courage: The Cowardly Dog ranks among my top favorite American stuff on Cartoon Network. It was pretty dark for it's time slot.

Re: Ah, the Good Old Days!
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't watch much in the way of American Cartoons. I was watching Anime Unleashed on TechTV, lol. That's how I found Last Exile (oh, the memories).
As for ten years ago, I watched stuff on Nickelodeon, but that was about it.

Re: Ah, the Good Old Days!
I know what'll happen to Heero when he has kids.
Son: Daddy, what are you watching?
Heero: Well, Bear, this is a show called .Hack//Sign. This is the show where your name came from

lol!
Tatiana or Alister? I like the name Tatiana for the name of a character in a book or something. It's cool.

My guess is he was thinking Tatiana. She was more prevalent in the series than her partner.

Re: Ah, the Good Old Days!
it is sad that the good old stuff is pushed aside to make way for the newer, crappyer stuff.
the last of the good old days died with Toonami's unanunced exicution
At least it went out with a "Bang"
