My grandmother died 3 days before Christmas. As a result, we had the best Christmas ever. Relatives and friends from all over the world came to visit (my grandmother had 9 children). She was only 80-something, but I'm happy that she's finally rid of the misery that was brought to her after a stroke from a few years ago. Ever since then, she had been bed-ridden and couldn't speak or walk and we were there to take care of her until her death. Every time I was there, I'd feel sad whenever I looked at her and her frail body. It was as if she was being tortured. I guess I also have to be happy for us now that we don't have to worry about her all the time.

My great-grandma died about a year and two months ago, and she was also a teacher. An English teacher to be precise. She had a real talent for writing.

My grandma's best friend just past away a few weeks ago. She had a rare type of cancer that wasn't found until it was too late. By the time they found it her health was already rapidly decreasing. But the scary thing about it all was how I happened to predict it without even realizing it. . .
